Professional Career Taurus Madric-Morris started her professional career in Corporate America in Hunt Valley, Maryland in 2000 at MBNA America where she worked her way through the ranks to become one of the founders of MBNA, Newark, New Jersey. She then assisted in growing MBNA, Atlanta, Georgia before the corporation was bought by Bank of America. She then transitioned from credit card finance to mortgage finance as she opened her own branch in the mortgage industry through Mid-Atlantic Capital. Today, Taurus is the co-owner of Douglasville Boxing Club. In 2010, as her husband pursued his boxing career, they decided to open a boxing facility. As her husband trained for boxing, Taurus organized and created classes and programs for the business. Douglasville Boxing Club trains amateur and professional boxers; as well as, offers boxing classes to the public. The club service several youth programs that focus on teaching discipline through boxing and combating the bullying epidemic in the community. Through education and experience, Taurus uses her business acumen to continue to grow and maintain the business.
Education Taurus comes from humble beginnings to where she had to work hard for everything she wanted. She worked three jobs in high school to help her family. As a teenager she knew she wanted to attend college, but life-circumstances came with many interruptions. After graduating Campbell High School, she attended (HBCU), Clark Atlanta University. She latter finished an Associates degree at West Georgia Technical College, with a degree in Marketing Management. She now sits as the Vice president of their Marketing Advisory Board. Taurus continued her education and graduated from Liberty University with a Bachelors in Interdisciplinary Studies in accounting and business; and achieving her Masters degree in Marketing and Project Management.
Community Involvement Taurus is the Chairwomen of Paulding County’s Democratic party. She meets, organizes, and partners with organizations to grow membership, increase voter participation, and ensure democrats are in leadership positions on county boards throughout the county to diversify ideas and decisions in the community. Taurus is the Founder and President of 501c Nonprofit, MadMorMe, Inc. previously known as A Chance to Win, Inc. She believes everyone, no matter the circumstance, deserves a chance to win at life. MadMorMe focuses on education, coaching, and mentoring. While the nonprofit address many community issues, Taurus focuses on teenagers. She helps teenagers enroll in college or trade schools, she exposes them to new experiences by taking them on fieldtrips that provide opportunities outside of their environment, and she has her girls mentoring program, called Girls Fight Smart. The program teaches teen girls life lessons through boxing, as they learn to fight smart inside and outside of the ring.
